He has worked with leading commercial brands and helped develop, implement and measure some of the UK’s most impactful social change campaigns and programmes.

Nick is our resident market research and behaviour change lead, with a background in psychology, human behaviour
and evaluation. He has gained considerable experience over fifteen years as a research-practitioner, using qualitative and quantitative data collection and psychology to capacity build and inform behaviour change, organisational change, communications and policy
design strategies in areas of
social research, health,
education, media, FMCG,
NPD and transport.

Jon Dickson

Creative Studio Manager

Jon brings a blend of high-end creative design and studio know-how to Hitch, working closely with clients to meet their ongoing creative needs for print and digital communications. Since graduating from a top art school, Jon's creative career has supplied high level design for a diverse portfolio of clients from large corporates to small community projects, promoting bands to leading design consultations for national organisations. Jon has a particular passion for branding and a wealth of experience in national campaign design and development.

Head of Strategy and Planning

Jude is a qualified CIPR communications specialist and social marketer with a fifteen year career. She has the privilege and challenge of leading communications, campaign planning and PR activity at Hitch, with the support of the client services team. After working for Granada Television delivering some of its most popular shows, Jude worked at Merseyside Police Authority as their media and communications manager where she was responsible for proactive and crisis PR on high profile issues of national interest.

Kate Waller

Marketing & Sales Manager

Kate brings a wealth of experience to her role at Hitch, after 15 years in high-level roles. These include managing international marketing at Terex Compact Equipment, and managing the brand 'Stoves' at Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, where she developed product ranges with market-leading NPI and worked with large media houses to reposition ‘Stoves’ as a high-end brand. Kate has recently worked with the NHS and local authorities managing insight and marketing projects across several NHS areas.

Dave is a talented digital professional who works closely with clients and the technical team to ensure projects run smoothly and exceed expectations. With a Masters in Digital Media and a growing portfolio of delighted clients, Dave is the go to person on all things technical. Besides contributing to the online strategy for Alcohol Concern’s Dry January campaign, Dave is becoming a seasoned facilitator of social media seminars and training for clients, including Chartered Institute of Marketing conferences in the area of behavior change.

Christian is the go-to guy for specialist design and illustration; his unique combination of business understanding and experience in the digital arena, along with his creative flair and client management, make Christian an invaluable asset to those who have utilised him. As our web design specialist, Christian has a portfolio of work at the highest level for clients including Chanel, Tatler, and the Monaco Tourist Office, and has helped to shape the online presence of many of the businesses we work with.

Dave joined Hitch as Creative Director in 2011. After winning a prestigious national design award for his graduate design work at LJMU, Dave joined Mando Group as senior designer and pitch designer, working with clients including Toyota, Sony, and Delta Airways. Dave’s considerable talents were put to use as Head of Communications and Board Member of ‘Merseyfest’, a £1.2 million, three-year, community initiative, which consisted of over 8,000 volunteers delivering over 80,000 hours of community work across Merseyside.

Gavin brings 15 years of experience in B2B digital marketing and communication to Hitch, developed in central government and the commercial sector, for UK and European brands. At the Health and Safety Executive Gavin played a leading role in the delivery of a number of national and local behavioural change campaigns as well as planning, managing and evaluating digital communications solutions that enabled the organisation to inform and engage a quarter of a million UK businesses.

Holly joined the Hitch team to contribute her expertise in Marketing Strategy and Planning, gathered over a ten year career managing large marketing programmes. At Safeway Stores plc. Holly was responsible for strategy and management of their £30m annual marketing budget, whilst coordinating a large in-house team and network of specialist agents. Since joining Hitch, Holly uses her credentials to produce clear and purposeful Marketing Strategy, franchise bids and subsequent rollout activity.

Jon joined Hitch as Account Coordinator to support project delivery, assisting in client and production services, working on some of our most innovative social change projects. Jon is also part of the team pushing Hitch forwards with business development, and has taken on the role of coordinating the Hitch fund, seeking to invest in the local community through cutting-edge behaviour change initiatives.
Enthusiastic about Hitch's creative work, Jon also lends support in brand creation and management.

Charlotte joined the Hitch team following her impressive work in stakeholder engagement throughout the Dry January campaign. Building on an international role travelling the world, Charlotte is focused on developing her marketing skills within the client services area of Hitch. Her enthusiasm and organisational skills delight our clients and ensure continuity within the office. She is also the first point of contact for the senior management team.

Kate joined Hitch, following a 15 year career with Barclays, to contribute her expertise in engagement, communications and project management. With a keen eye for detail, Kate wrote and delivered award-winning communications strategies, and designed and produced an extensive range of internal promotional resources. She now supports our Communications and Marketing teams in creating the right tone of voice and brand language that’s essential to our clients.

Finance and Operations

Sarah is a Co-Director overseeing finance and operations. When she isn't busy with VAT returns she lends a hand with her community development expertise, having specialised in youth work with marginalised groups. During her career Sarah has established a regional office for a national charity working with NEET young people, and led collaborative community projects in deprived areas of Merseyside and Bristol. Sarah also plays a key role in managing the Hitch Fund dedicated to investing in social innovation and local causes.

David White

David White

Digital Architect

David has worked in cutting-edge Broadcast R&D since the launch of digital terrestrial TV in the UK - first for the BBC and then NDS - so in his role as Digital Architect at Hitch, there’s very little he doesn’t know! David’s expertise is end-to-end system design specialising in metadata and delivery to terminal devices. Recent examples of this have included vector graphics animation on the web, a bulk media processing system for a large-scale website, a mobile navigation app and new video streaming technologies.

Will joined Hitch in 2012, and brought with him extensive knowledge of the collection and deployment of evidence in the health and social care sector. Will is now applying his considerable expertise in the area of quantitative research to ensure clear and incisive insight for Hitch projects. Applying his experience of developing, delivering and disseminating targeted health and social care evaluations, Will is particularly enthusiastic about working with organisations committed to making a significant social impact in our communities.

Emily is the latest member of the Hitch team joining the client services team to support on our public health project portfolio. After graduating with a first class honours, Emily worked with Macmillan Cancer Support writing and editing quality cancer information, with a focus on accessibility. With her background in health she is enthusiastic about working to promote a healthier lifestyle through better awareness.

Associate Senior Media Planner & Buyer

Debra brings with her over 20 years of experience and knowledge in media and advertising. Having lived abroad for many years, Debra spent 14 years working at CBS Outdoor in both Manchester and London, before coming to Hitch as an advertising expert with specialisms in outdoor, online, digital and radio. Debra has worked on many recruitment advertising campaigns, and with clients including CCGs, police authorities, national charities, international tourist boards, rail providers and commercial brands such as Lotus and Fujitsu.

John Bromley

John Bromley

Associate Social Marketing Strategist

John has considerable experience in capacity building, with over twenty years of experience in developing, implementing and evaluating major behaviour change programmes in the UK and internationally. He was a senior advisor to the NHS in Scotland, and was recently Deputy Chief of Party for a major USAID project in the Middle East where he was responsible for implementing a major social marketing capacity building programme in Jordan as well as the planning and delivery of twenty national behaviour change projects.

Associate Market Research Strategist

Alan is a Certified Member of the Market Research Society; the Independent Consultants Group and ESOMAR. He has presented award winning papers at two ESOMAR World Congress Conferences and led creative workshops using brand storytelling to challenge conventional thinking. His experience spans Alcoholic drinks; FMCG; health; transport; leisure and technology design and public service – most recently with NHS and police, Welfare to Work and Public Health.
